Steelhead Fishing Excursions

Now is the time to get your dates set in stone. I will be offering guided trips to Erie, PA starting in November.  Earlier dates might be available if the fish are in the streams.  Once a date is booked, it will be booked.  Steelhead fishing in Erie is always an excursion.  The weather in Erie is anything but predictable.  Dressing warm and bringing extra clothing is strongly recommended.

I prefer to leave from Southeastern,  PA with everyone together in my vehicle.  I will take care of hotel/motel arrangements.

I always keep an open mind and I am willing to make compromises.  Just let me know what you would like to do and we can go from there.

2Bonthewater Guide Service will provide flies and tippet material.  I will take photographs of you and your fish while in action. Photographs will then be emailed to you.  I could even take video footage, edit the material and create a DVD of your fishing excursion with 2Bonthewater Guide Service.

Remember, I live in Southeastern, PA.  Erie conditions can change on a moments notice and we will create a strategy when we arrive in Erie and get a first hand look at the conditions.  I have patrolled Erie on various occasions and I have fished the Erie tribs for over 10 years.  Be prepared to walk and do what needs to be done in order to find the fish.

My steelhead excursions are designed to take fellow Southeastern, PA residents from our area to the tributaries of Lake Erie to catch some steelhead.    I would prefer the trips be planned in advance, but spur of the moment trips might be possible.   All you have to do is send an email or call my home and ask if I can swing a guided trip to Erie.  Steelhead make men and women do crazy things. 

There are movie theatres, a shopping mall and a Gander Mountain store to help chew up the hours when it is dark out.  You could also stay in the motel / hotel room and tie flies.  I am more than willing to teach my clients how to tie a steelhead fly or two while we are in Erie. 

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be up to you.  This cost is on you as I don't provide a streamside meal.   It is important to keep your body fueled and hydrated.   Getting off the water to get some grub is a good idea.   If you want to bring food in a cooler or pack some snacks for the day  --  you are more than welcome to do so.  If it saves you money, I'm for it.
